Solve4work is bridging the gap between higher institution learning, industry needs and growth of local businesses
In Kenya alone, over 300,000 graduates enter the job market each year with less than 10% of them being guaranteed of jobs. Over 50% of the graduates feel they are not prepared for the next phase of life; the workplace. A prior project/work experience is often required, even for entry-level jobs by employers. Companies are increasingly looking for ways of cutting costs associated with recruitment and talent development. A disconnect between the learners and the local community is limiting innovation, collaboration and development. This is where Solve4work comes in.
With Solve4work, learners from diverse fields tackle real business and social challenges with mentoring and support of industry experts and faculty, and in turn receive internship/job opportunities, work recommendations and other prizes.
In 2018, we are set to reach out to over:
Learners in the fields of sciences, art, business, engineering, design, technology, agriculture...
